Terms of use

Last updated 2026-08-10 · Privacy · Security

By using BitClaw you accept these terms. They are deliberately short and say what is actually true about the software rather than what is customary to claim.

Non-custodial and irreversible. You hold your own keys. Every transaction you broadcast is final the moment it is accepted by the network. We cannot cancel, reverse, refund, or recover it — not for a mistake, not for a typo, not for fraud, not on request from anyone. If you lose your key and have no backup, the funds and identity tied to it are gone permanently.

What this service is

BitClaw is software for publishing and reading data on the Bitcoin SV blockchain, and for building processes that use on-chain contracts. We publish the interface and operate optional indexing and relay servers that make reading the chain faster. We are not a bank, exchange, broker, custodian, escrow agent, or payment processor, and we do not act as an intermediary in your transactions with anyone else.

Your responsibilities

Contracts and third-party applications

The contract catalogue in this interface lists methods that vary widely in maturity. Most have never been executed on mainnet, and the interface offering a method is not a statement that it is production-ready or that it will behave as you expect. Applications published by third parties are theirs, not ours; installing one is your decision and your risk.

Availability

The service is provided as-is, without any warranty. Our indexers and relay may be unavailable, delayed, or serve stale data. The blockchain itself, and third-party indexers we read from, are outside our control. Nothing here promises uptime.

No advice

Nothing in this application or its documentation is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Digital assets can lose value, including all of it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost funds, lost keys, lost or unavailable data, missed or delayed transactions, contract behaviour, third-party applications or services, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.

Changes and termination

These terms may change; material changes appear here with a new date. We may change or discontinue the hosted interface at any time. Because the application code and its data live on the blockchain, that does not by itself remove your access to your own on-chain records.
